உண்டோ சடகோபர்க்கு ஒப்பொருவர் ? When comparisons start to falter

 

நமோ நாராயணாய, ஸ்ரீமதே ராமானுஜாய நமக

- கி.ஜனார்த்தனன்

நம்மாழ்வார், நம்மை என்றென்றும் ஆழ்வார். பல்வேறு உணர்வுகளால் பதைத்துத் துடித்துப்போகும் என் இதயம் உன் ஆளுமைக்குத் தருகிறேனே..

பெருமானே பிள்ளையாக வந்து, பின்னிருந்து ஆரத்தழுவி, கொஞ்சி விளையாடுவாரே..ஆழ்ந்த தியானத்தில் இருக்கும் உமக்கு அன்புகாட்ட  பிள்ளையாய் வருவாரே... 

'எத்திறம்' என்றீர். 'எத்திறம்' என்றதுடன் பக்தியில் மயங்கி சாய்ந்தீரே. சொல்லில் அடங்காத பேராந்தனம் அன்றோ..

“பத்துடை அடியவர்க்கு எளியவன்; பிறர்களுக்கு அரிய வித்தகன்

மலர்மகள் விரும்பும்நம் அரும்பெற லடிகள்

மத்துறு கடைவெண்ணெய் களவினில் உரவிடையாப்புண்டு “

எத்திறம் உரலினோ டிணைந்திருந் தேங்கிய எளிவே.

பத்துடை - பக்தி உடை(ய) - With Devotion 

அடியவர் - Servant, Dasa

எளியவன் - He is simple and easy (to access to), via the nine forms of Bhakti. Goes without saying, Bhakti brings the Lord near to oneself.

Nine ways of Bhakti are hearing, singing, remembering, worship, salutation, looking upon oneself as His servant, also seeing the relationship between oneself and God as friendly, and completely offering your soul. The sweet, gentle Lord blesses quickly and plentifully. 

பிறர்களுக்கு அரிய வித்தகன் - To others, he is mighty and rarely sighted 

மலர்மகள் விரும்பும்... - Goddess Laksmi loves His feet, அரும்பெற லடிகள்

மத்துறு கடைவெண்ணெய் - மத்து 

மத்தைக் (churn)  கொண்டு மிகுதியாகக் கடைவது (churning).. மத்துறு - மத்து உறு, உறு என்றால் மிகுதியாக (in excess).

உரவிடையாப்புண்டு  - உரல் இடை ஆப்பு ( இடுப்பில் கட்டப்பட்ட உரல்) 

எத்திறம் உரலினோ டிணைந்திருந் தேங்கிய எளிவே - 

உரலினோடு இணைந்திருந்து ஏங்கிய எளிவே...

Like a small child, you were bound to the churn, waiting dolefully to be released by your mother. How humble of you to assume such a role.

ஏக்கத்துடன் இருந்த எளிவே - எளியவன்.

A soul stirring hymn: 

माता पिता युवतयः तनया विभूतिः

Mātā pitā yuvatayas tanayā vibhūtiḥ

Mother, father, wife, son, wealth

युवतयः (Yuvatayaḥ): Young women or wives (plural of young woman or wife)

तनयाः (Tanayāḥ): Sons (plural of son) தனயன் 

விபூதி - Vibhūti (विभूति).—A name of Śrī (Lakṣmī). Her abode in the chest of the Lord; wife of Hari.*

सर्वं यदेव नियमेद मदन्वयानाम्

Sarvaṁ yadeva niyamed madanvayānām

Everything is indeed controlled by the divine lineage.

आद्यस्य नः कुलपतेर्वकुलापिरामं

Ādyasya naḥ kulapater vakulāpīrāmam

To the prime of our clan, whose feet are adorned with Vakula flowers,

आद्यस्य (ādhyasya): Of the foremost/first

नः (naḥ): Our

कुलपतेः (kulapateḥ): Of the lord of the family/clan - வைணவ குலத்திற்கு பதியாக, முதல்வராக இருப்பவர் நம்மாழ்வார் என்ற வகுளாபரணன்

वकुलापिरामं (vakulāpīrāmam): Adorned with Vakula flowers


  

श्रीमद् तदङ्क्रियुगलं प्रणमामि मूर्ध्ना

Śrīmad tadaṅkriyugalaṁ praṇamāmi mūrdhnā

श्रीमद् (śrīmad): Auspicious, revered, glorious

तदङ्क्रियुगलं (tad-aṅkri-yugalaṁ): Those divine feet (the pair of feet)

• तद् (tad): Those
• अङ्क्रियुगलं (aṅkri-yugalaṁ): The pair of feet (अङ्क्रि means feet and युगल means pair)

प्रणमामि (praṇamāmi): I bow down

मूर्ध्ना (mūrdhnā): With my head

I bow my head in reverence to those divine feet.
