வளையா உறுதி, சளையா கருணை: Unparalleled mercy of Kurathalwar (p1)

அச்சுதன் (अच्युत ) என்றென்றும் நீடிக்கும் அமரத்தன்மையை அளிப்பவன். எனவே, பரம்பொருள் ஆகிய நாராயணனுக்கு நிகரானது எதுவும் இல்லை.

தரிசனத்திற்காக ( சமயத்திற்காக) தரிசனத்தை (கண்களை) இழந்த கூரத்தாழ்வார் அருளிய தனியன் எனப்படும் புகழராம். 

Kurathalwar was an excellent disciple of Ramanuja, who loved him and cared for him far more than a mother possibly could. This comparison to a mother is not to be frivolously used. Hare Krishna!

Anyone knows the story of how Sri Kurathalwar was blinded by the fanatical Chola King, who could not tolerate a religion different that his own?  

The only person who can pray for the moksha, or liberation for a person who caused him blindness. Koorathalwar.

We can tell that even God has limits to mercy, but the mercy of His true devotees know no bounds.  

यो नित्यं अच्युत पदाम्बुज युग्मरुक्म व्यामोहतस् तदितराणि त्रुणाय मेने। 

अस्मद् गुरोर् भगवतोस्य दयैकसिन्धोः रामानुजस्य चरणौ शरणं प्रपद्ये॥ 

யோ நித்யமச்யுத பதா3ம்பு3ஜயுக்3மருக்ம 

வ்யாமோஹதஸ்த3தி தராணி த்ருணாய் மேநே | 

அஸ்மத்3கு3ரோர் ப4க3வதோSஸ்ய த3யைகஸிந்தோ: 

ராமாநுஜஸ்ய சரணௌ ஶரணம் ப்ரப3த்யே || 

यो (yo) - "who"  नित्यं (nityaṁ) - "eternally" अच्युत (acyuta) - "Acyuta (infallible, a name of Lord Vishnu)"

पदाम्बुज (padāmbuja) - "lotus feet" - पढ (feet)  -अम्बुज (ambuja)

The word "अम्बुज" (ambuja) is a compound word , (தொகைச்சொல்) formed from "अम्बु" (ambu) meaning "water" and "ज" (ja) meaning "born of" or "born from." Thus, "अम्बुज" (ambuja) literally means "born of water" and is commonly used to refer to a "lotus," which is a flower that typically grows in water.

युग्म (yugma) - "pair" रुक्म (rukma) - "golden"

ருக்மா ...நினைவுக்கு வருவது ருக்மாங்கி, ருக்மினி, ருக்மி... மகாபாரத கதாபாத்திரங்கள்.. 

ருக்மாங்கி:

• ருக்மம் (பொன்) + அங்கி (உடையவர்) = பொன் போன்ற அழகிய உடல் உடையவர்

ருக்மி, ருக்மினி - தங்கத்தை ஒத்தவர்கள், தங்கம் போல பிரகாசமாகவும் அரிதாகவும் மதிப்புமிக்கதாகவும் உள்ளவர்கள்

व्यामोहतस् (vyāmohatas) - "due to overwhelming devotion"

வியா  + மோகம் + தஸ்

तदितराणि (tad-itarāṇi) - "all other things"

இதர என்ற வடசொல் தமிழ்ப்பயன்பாட்டிலும் உள்ளது. 

तद् • (tád)  (3rd person pronoun) it, that, this

त्रुणाय (truṇāya) - "as insignificant as grass"

त्रुण (truṇa)

Meaning: Grass or a blade of grass. In Sanskrit, "त्रुण" (truṇa) generally refers to grass or something very small and insignificant.

-आय (āya):

Suffix: The suffix "-आय" (āya) is often used to indicate "for" or "to" in a dative case, giving a sense of "to" or "for."

ie. नारायणाय (nā­rā­yaṇā­ya): "To Narayana" 


All other things to grass, my very being shall be to Narayana. My salutations to Narayana, Namo Narayanaya. 

மற்றவர்களுக்கு பொன்னும் பொருளும் அள்ளித்தந்த கூரத்தாழ்வார், ராமானுஜருக்குத் தன்னையே தந்தார். தன்னைத் தந்ததால் இனி மேலும் பெறுவதற்கு ஒன்றுமில்லை. அனைத்து ஆற்றல்களும் ஆழ்வாருக்கு வசமானது.
