ஸ்ரீயபதியான எம்பெருமானிடம் தொடங்கி, யமுனை நதியாக நீரோட்டமாக வழிகின்றது. யமுனைத்துறைவர் என்ற முதுபெரும் வைணவ ஆச்சாரியர் மத்திமமாக, a fulcrum in a sense between the exalted status of the Lord and the minuteness of the conditioned soul, நிற்கிறார்.

யமுனையைப் போன்ற தண்மை கொண்டவரே, தன்னிறைவு உள்ளவரே!  ஆகம பிராமாண்யம் என்ற படைப்பை உருவாக்கி, திருமால் சமயத்திற்காக நீங்கள் வாதிட்டீர்கள். உங்கள் பெருமை, எம்பெருமானின் அருள்போல நீண்டு, பல்வேறு கிளைகளாக விரிகின்றன. 

By composing the Agama Pramanyam, you have shown the world how indisputable and factual the doctrines of Vaishnavism are, over any other denomination. There is no goal other that Vishnu to be achieved in the path of Vishnu Bhakti. It is His remembrance that will destroy even a Meru-mountain full of sins into complete dust. Never doubt. 

வைதீகர்களுக்கு கங்கை விருப்பமென்றால் வைணவர்களுக்கு யமுனை அதிக விருப்பமன்றோ...Its interesting that both the Lord and Yamunacharya's names start with names of the feminine.

लक्ष्मीनाथसमारम्भां नाथयामुनमध्यमाम्।
अस्मदाचार्यपर्यन्तां वन्दे गुरुपरम्पराम्।।

Word-by-Word Transliteration and Translation:

• लक्ष्मीनाथ-lakṣmīnātha- என் ஆருயிர் அன்னையின் பெருமதிப்பு பெற்றுள்ள பதியே, பரமபிதாவே...
• समारम्भाम् (samārambhām) - beginning with Lakshmi's Lord (Vishnu) சம் - நல்ல ஆரம்பம். நல்ல ஆரம்பம்
• नाथ-यामुन-मध्यमाम् (nātha-yāmuna-madhyamām) - with Natha (Nathamuni) and Yamunacharya in the middle
• अस्मद्-आचार्य-पर्यन्ताम् (asmad-ācārya-paryantām) - extending up to my own teacher - என் ஆச்சாரியர் வரையில்
• वन्दे (vande) - I salute/bow வணக்கம்
• गुरु-परम्पराम् (guru-paramparām) - the lineage of teachers - குருபரம்பரை 

Full Translation:

"I salute the lineage of teachers starting from Lakshmi's Lord (Vishnu), with Natha (Nathamuni) and Yamunacharya in the middle, and extending up to my own preceptor."

தீயில் தூசாகும் என் பாபங்கள். உம்மைப் போற்றும் வரையில், உம்மையே இலட்சியம் கொள்ளும் வரையில் வேறு எதிலும் மாட்டிக்கொண்டு பாபத்தில் சிக்கப்போவதில்லை. அப்படி சிக்கினாலும் பெருமான் என்னை மூழ்க விடமாட்டார். உதவிக்கரம் நீட்டுவார். கைகொடுப்பார்.
